ICE OUT: How to support Minnesota

With deep love for our community, we’re sharing opportunities to support Minnesota, show up with your neighbors, and take caring action against ICE occupation.

The ongoing campaign of violence and terror against our immigrant neighbors is unbearable.

It is so important that we all continue to show up with and for each other, in any way that we can. This page compiles events, calls to action, and mutual aid requests. Some of these actions can be taken from your home; others call for you to be in community. Assess your personal risk, and show up in all of the ways that feel true to you and to the people you love. We - and so many of your neighbors - will be there with you.

With love and solidarity, VRJ ❤️‍🔥

Defend your community:

Connect with your local neighborhood ICE watch groups through Defend the 612.

Carry a whistle to alert community about ICE presence, and follow @mspwhistles to learn more and get involved.

Look for upcoming Monarca Rapid Response trainings in your neighborhood.

Support your neighbors:

Visit StandWithMinnesota.com to learn how to support mutual aid networks, food distribution hubs, rent relief funds, and more.

Visit the Minneapolis Mutual Aid Linktree to see and support local mutual aid requests.

Voices for Racial Justice is raising funds to support 500 families with essential first aid and health supplies.

Advocate:

Sunrise Movement Twin Cities has been organizing information and calls to action to get local hotels and car rental companies to stop collaborating with ICE. Visit their Instagram page to learn how you can help.

Kids aren't safe to go to school, parents aren't safe to go to work, and families are struggling to pay rent. Call on Governor Walz to enact an eviction moratorium while ICE terrorizes our communities.

Our neighbors have crowdfunded hundreds of thousands of dollars to keep our communities safe and housed, but we can’t keep doing it alone. If Governor Walz won’t pass an eviction moratorium, then we can call on him to help pay our neighbors’ rent.

Tell Minnesota lawmakers to pass the Education Protection Bill to explicitly guarantee every child, regardless of immigration status, has access to a free public K–12 education and ensure schools remain safe, welcoming places of learning
