Voices for Racial Justice convenes the Education Equity Organizing Collaborative, which believes that to close gaps and create an education system that works for everyone, we must place equity at the center of its definition of excellence in education. Together, we developed the Education Equity Pathway that names eight equity goals and allows parents, students, administrators and teachers to identify the systemic barriers preventing students of color and American Indian students from reaching their potential. These stakeholders work together to develop solutions that come from the experience of students and families who know the barriers to education equity.
“The Education Equity Pathway work will be some of the most important work I’ll ever do.”
– Matt Grose, Superintendent, Deer River School District
