Be a part of this event, which promises to be one filled with inspiration, leadership, and action.
- Start with Tamales y Bicicletas and join students and youth for a mock-hearing and rally at 9:00 a.m. in Room 500 South of the State Office Building. Show your support for the Dream Act and talk to legislators before they cast their vote on April 3! Students who want to speak at the rally should prepare a 1 minute statement so everyone can have a chance to share their words. Please contact Nestor Gomez for more information: 763-732-9720 or firstname.lastname@example.org
- Head to the Capitol steps for a cultural celebration and prayer led by La Asamblea at 9:30, followed by music from the Academia Cesar Chavez choir at 10:00.
- Hear from many of our public leaders in the Legislature, at the Chicano Latino Affairs Council (CLAC), in our state departments, and from community organizations. Be sure to stay for Governor Dayton’s remarks.
- Be a part of legislative visits — stay after the rally for instructions and to join a team.
